Mid-Atlantic Central Service Association (MACSA) Connecting Sterile Processing Professionals to Education, Community, and Growth
Lila Price, CRCST, CER, CHL
President, MACSA Chapter of HSPA
Dear MACSA Members,
As I begin my term as President of the Mid-Atlantic Central Service Association, I want to take a moment to speak directly to you — the heart of this chapter. It is an honor to serve, and I step into this role with deep gratitude, clear intention, and a commitment to strengthening the work we do together.
Our chapter has always been rooted in the values and mission of HSPA: advancing patient safety, elevating the Sterile Processing profession, and empowering every technician, educator, and leader to grow in excellence. These values guide my leadership. They shape every decision, every initiative, and every opportunity we create for our members.
My intention for this term is simple and strong:
- To build a chapter culture where every member feels seen, supported, and connected.
- To expand educational opportunities that reflect the evolving needs of our field.
- To strengthen partnerships that elevate the visibility and impact of Sterile Processing professionals.
- To ensure MACSA remains a place where leadership is developed, voices are welcomed, and innovation is encouraged.
This term has officially begun, and it will continue with purpose. I look forward to working alongside each of you as we grow our chapter, uplift our profession, and continue the legacy of excellence that MACSA is known for.
Thank you for your trust, your dedication, and your commitment to the mission we share.
With warm regards,
Lila Price, CRCST, CER, CHL
President, MACSA Chapter of HSPA

The decision to update the MACSA logo reflects the growth of our organization and the evolving role we serve within the Sterile Processing community. While our original logo honored our roots in New Jersey, MACSA has expanded beyond a single state. Our members, educational programs, and partnerships now span across the Mid-Atlantic region.
The bridge symbolizes connection and progress. It represents our commitment to bridging the gap between Sterile Processing technicians, leadership, educators, and supporting departments. It also reflects our role in bringing together local chapters, vendors, and industry partners, fostering collaboration that strengthens education and professional development.
By choosing a bridge, we acknowledge the importance of crossing boundaries, whether geographic, professional, or organizational. MACSA is dedicated to connecting people across state lines and uniting diverse perspectives with a shared goal: advancing Sterile Processing practices.
Most importantly, the updated logo reinforces our promise to deliver meaningful, accessible education that supports patient safety, professional growth, and excellence in Sterile Processing. As MACSA continues to grow, this symbol serves as a reminder that our strength lies in connection, collaboration, and continuous learning.
